Mini convention swap contender

I finally got my Stamping space cleaned up so I could play. YAY!!! I'm trying to come up with a swap for a Mini convention my upline is holding late August. I will have to make 36 full cards so I need it to be simple. I love how elegant this looks with it being really easy to mass produce. I used the leaf cuttlebug template and I sanded it with stampin ups sanding blocks to give it a real look. I always love using Acetate but I don't pull it out much for some reason. I stuck the acetate to the card stock by using my xyron.(works great). I just love using the tag note diecut. The stamp set is a New level 3 hostess set and is in this years su catalog. It's called kind and caring thoughts. Oh and be sure you use White stazon on acetate. It dries pretty quick and won't smear.

Does anybody think this would work for the mini convention swap? Thanks for stopping by. Terry

My Nephews Birthday card

My Nephew is turning 5 and His party is this weekend. I bet you could guess what the theme of the party is just by looking at the card. Yep, It's STAR WARS !!!! To make the lifesavers I used the tacky tape then just poured the glittler on. For the handles I used Stampin up retired punch. (name?) The happy birthday is a retired stamp set. I used itty bitty backgrounds too. Paper used was Basic black and brocade blue. I still may stamp the number 5 spuratic and fading a few times.

Daughters flipflop invites

These were made for my Daughters Birthday. Her party is at a pool so we thought a flipflop theme would be fun.
I hate cutting so I got to thinking how I could get a flipflop look without cutting. I know it's not a conventional flip flop look but you get the idea right?

I used the tagnote diecut from Stampin up and I used the curly label punch. I also used a 1/8 inch punch. Only stamp used was the all holiday. The designer paper is from a dollarstore and the ribbon I used was either orange or certainly grosgrain ribbon. I typed up the info and printed it up and used the tagnote diecut again. Then I just stuck them together. Lots of fun and quick to because of no cutting. hehe TFL

Frame and card for Retiring Teacher

Above is a Name frame I was hired to do for a Retiring Male Teacher at my Daughters school. I made the frame similar to the card below as far as the background goes. I bought the Frame at Michaels Craft. Loved it because it's very manly looking. I got a hold of a past yearbook and cut and matted the front part of the school and the sign name that's infront of the school. If you really look close you'll see I made the page look like a faux book front. I have scoring on the side to give it a binder look. I embossed the paw stamp on the top of the binder part.
Stamps I used were Artifects, It's Academic, Natures beauty and retired set of little alphabet from Stampin up. I used the computer for the teacher quote on the side. Ribbon I used a blue grograin. Ink I used blue frost spectrum pad for the Letters and I used so saffron. Thanks for stopping by: Terry

More Dominos from my crafty day

My Domino Crafty day

I had a crafty day yesterday. I made these dominos into decorated keychains.
I used Stampin up retired chalks for the base heat set it then stamped what I wanted in stazon on. I used their markers to color in or you can use sharpies. I just heat set the color and had my husband drill the holes before I started. At the end I sealed them with a clear matte finish sealer. I bought the keychains at michaels but had to buy the top ring separate. otherwise you wouldn't be able to get the domino on. I used some bling too just so you know. Thanks for stopping by. Terry

Grad card Clean and simple challenge

THis is my first time playing splitcoast stampers clean and simple card challenge. Check out my choices of inspiration. Also here's the link to the challenge. My recipe is:
Paper: Pumpkin pie and basic black
Ink: Black stazon
Accessories: Ribbon from Michaels crafts, dots template from cuttlebug
Stamp: Misc grad stamp.

This was quick and fun. thanks for stopping by Terry
