Slate Project for customer

Whew, I'm done.
This took a while but I'm thrilled with the out come. This is only the second time I've ever stamped on slate and this time it worked out a ton better. This time I sealed the slate with a clear finish then I painted it with an ivory acrylic paint. I still have to write the customers name on it and it's still needs to dry more. I used craft ink to stamp and colored the flowers in using a blender pen believe it or not. The blender pen worked Great. TFL

Stamps: live your dream, sunflower from michaels, Eastern Influences,
Paper: none

My inspired picture was the top left picture. I borrowed this cute little owl from my sister and I had the background behind him from an expo I went to last year. Also I went with blush blossom just because I thought it flowed with the owl color. I got to use my new scallop punch from stampin up too. LOVE IT!!!! If you look close you'll see that I went over the eyes with a gel glaze pen to give them an embossed look. (It's hard to tell though at first. I used the dots template for the bg layer. It went with the owls eyes. I colored the owl using creamy caramel and blush blossom. The picture is soft and I wanted to keep my card soft too. This will be great to give someone for any kind of accomplishment. It would even be good for a new welcome card for a baby girl.

it was so nice to stamp again. I currently working on a custom slate piece. I really want to get to the featured stamper challenge today. Thak s for stopping by.
