My Daughters Thank yous

Good afternoon. Today I've been working on my daughters Thankyous from her birthday not long ago. I did the outside and my daughter did the inside. They are almost done. Here's one of the 26 we did.

Stamps: For a friend hostess set.

Ink: Basic brown, prisma pencils,

Paper: Whisper white

Accessories: The ribbon is from Michaels crafts, Cuttlebug template thank you, yellow liquid pearl, My scoring blade from my fiskers cutter. (I want the scor-pal though).

TLC179 for splitcoaststampers challenges

This was done for todays tlc179 on splitcoaststampers. It was an interesting challenge. Not one of my faves but interesting. I got to use my new set dreams du jour for the first time. Fun Pictures in the Hershey Park Factory

these Pictures. I think they are so fun. We went to Hershey Park last weekend with my sisters family. My Daughter was so happy to have her cousins with her. These pictures were taken by my brother in law and by a wall in the Hershey factory. My BIL had the kids posing. It was so fun and the kids were so into it. Kudos to my BIL. It was a fun start to our long, long day.

card and dominio pin for a friend and sc185

Here's a card and a Dominio pin I made for a friends birthday. I made the card first and then thought I wanted to make her something to go with it. I just bought the dominios and they were sitting out so that's what I did and I just love the outcome.

I love the outcome so much so that I'm considering doing this for the mini convention my upline is hosting next month.

I set after using the sketch challenge 185 on splitcoaststampers. I did alter the sketch some though. the image I used was too big to do the extra layer.

My Recipe:
Stamps: kind thoughts.
Ink: White craft, green stazon, so saffron and apricot appeal craft on dominio and classic on the card.
Paper, certainly celery, apricot appeal paper prints designer paper,whisper white.
Accessories: Flirty Ribbon from stampin up, pretties pearl, two way glue stick and dazzeling diamonds, dominio, I sprayed the dominio with a little hairspray to seal the color but you can use anykind of clear craft sealer. Matt finish I think is better though.

Recipe box for customer

This was done for a customer. I let the customer pick the paper and I created it from there. I bought the box at Michaels crafts. It's a cherry wooden box.
To stick everything I used my xyron. What would I do without my xyron and dimensionals. I use them a ton. Anyway the inserts were a great addition too I think. I stamped the baroque Motifis swirl with chocolate chip craft ink. Printed up the different named sections and punched them out with Stampin ups' scallop punch. I then stuck the scallop inbetween the chocolate chip card stock and the designer paper by Ancestory. The alphabet I used is an old retired set(don't know the name though)I used a little stickles on the front latch and a whole lot of sponging on everything. Also, I ran the chocolate chip 5/8 grosgrain through my xyron. It works great!! This is the first time I've covered a recipe box. I'm thrilled with the results. I only wish I I could keep it for myself.

These were done for a customer. She wanted birds, which I'm sure you guessed already and she wanted the size to fit a recipe box that I'll be making her soon. The customer is giving them as a gift and that's why she wants them to fit in the recipe box. It's just to have a place to store them to give. To find this size ivory envelopes was a little tricky though I must say. I finally found these at Michaels in the wedding section. I really didn't have time to send for them so that's where the tricky part came in.They came with 50 cards and envelopes. They did have thank you already on the front and the scored frame was there too. I just refaced them inside the scored frame. She also wanted them pretty simple. I really like them. I plan to use the ones she didn't pick.

GREAT PERSONAL NEWS!!!!

GREAT NEWS!!!! As of last Thursday I have officially lost 50lbs. I'm very pleased with myself and I just wanted to share. I still have a ways to go but I'm thrilled that It's going in the right direction. I feel so much better. TFL~ Terry

My Daughters invites

These are for my Daughters Birthday

party. I cased the idea from fabfullmers on splitcoastampers. I did't add a ribbon because I wanted to keep the cost of sending down. I'm putting directions in and I know that will add enough weight to them. My daughter wanted to help make them so She stamped all the fruit and I was the official paper cutter and I put them together person. Most of them had to be done with the markers so it did take more time then if we just had to stamp them. She was a great help though and it was fun to work with her on them. She may even catch the bug of stamping someday. We invited some boys too hence the red and orange color picks.

Things I changed:
1. some of the colors,
2. I added in using the scallop punch for behind the image.
3. I added you're invited to the front
4. I didn't use ribbon
5. I added stickles for a little bling

This was for a friends Daughter that graduated 8th grade. They Had a super fun picnic party for her this past Sunday. I wanted it to be simple and sweet.
Oh and I found this tutorial on how to make the beaded pens. Just note, I personally use the tacky sheets. Also instead of stamping something I just stamped the name on a piece of designer paper and ran it through my xyron. thanks for stopping by. Terry

positive findings

Good Morning everyone: Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. The summer is moving right along that's for sure. My daughter is doing a basketball camp this week and I've been quite impressed with the flyers they've sent home. I really just wanted to share the positive findings.

First watermark upload

Well I finally did it. I studied my Photo Elements 6 and did a watermark for myself. I know most have done this already but I'm telling you it was certainly an effort for me to do. I do need to send a GREAT big thanks to stampinkub.
Kurtis did a tutorial on how to make a watermark using photo elements 6 and without this tutorial It would have taken me forever. Thank you Kurtis!!!

This Card was done for todays sc181 This challenge was a challenge because I started out using my 3 1/4 stampin up square punch and it wouldn't cut through the paper. Lucky for me I have creative memories square punches so I dug them out and just changed the sizes I was using. I also need to thank Stampin up too. I've had the punch for quite a while and called to see if they could do anything for my broken punch and they are sending me a new punch. YEAH!!!! I did have to pay for the shipping and tax but I was thrilled to say the least. This card is also the color color challenge for this week. cc172.

Ric-Rac Fun

THis is for todays wt171 on splitcoaststampers. I had so much fun trying to think of something to do with my Ric-Rac. I saw Julia's( The hostess) card and loved that she made a flower using the ric-rac so I had it in my mind to think of a flower I could do. Roses popped into my head and then I was off. I used my white ric-rac to make the roses. As you can tell, I also used ric-rac to decorate the vase too. My card is a 4.25 x 4.25 card too. I always love it when I get a chance to make this size. Please excuse that the sentiment I used is crooked~ Just a little...

Stamps: Simple said, cute converse.

Paper, Very vanilla, chocolate chip and the designer paper is from ancestry.

Ink: Green stazon and chocolate chip.

Accessories: My large oval punch for the vase and the small oval punch to cut out the center of the vase, white and sky ric-rac.

double challenge card

This is a double challenge card. It's cc171 and sc181.

I was so determine to make this a combo challenge card that it took me all day and I mean all day. It's 12:39am and I'm just uploading it. I started it early and kept having to leave it because of just not being able to focus on it. Using the Kraft cardstock was a challenge in itself for me. Yeah I'm not sure I'm Lovin the kraft. I Definitely love the simplicity and clean feel. I may try again but just using different colors. I'll get some sleep and try again tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by. Terry

I'm so mad at myself!!!!

WHaaaaaaaa!!! I'm so mad at myself. I did up a Name frame today for my Daughters Teacher. I was rushing at the end because I had to go pick up my Daughter. Anyway, I Took 4 quick pictures right before heading out the door and when I got home I went to upload them and to my surprise, It said on the Camera, File Error. NONE of the 4 pictures were there. I already gave it to the teacher so I'm sorry to say I won't be uploading it after all. Thanks for letting me vent, I hope everyone else is having better luck today. The Weather is Beautiful at least. TFL~

Nameframe for a customer

I am so into making these frames these days.
This is for one of the Teachers at my Daughters school. It's for her New Grandson. I was told to use a sports theme for it. The Designer paper has all sports on it. It doesn't have any names of who's the dp is though. I bought it at a store that was going out of business. I can't even tell you it's name. The rest of the paper used was celery textured, only orange and Whisper white. THe Frame I got from a friend who got it at Wal-mart I think. I saw some really similar ones there the other day. Kim Thank you for giving me this frame in a pinch.

The sports set is a retired set from Stampin up' The star stamp came with it. It's a great set. Also I used headline alphabet and lexicon of love. For Accessories, I ran the grosgrain ribbon through my xyron to get it to stick and not be a mess to do. I always use Dimensionals to stick almost everything, just in case I need to reposition it. I can pull stuff up without it tearing anything. For colors I used the Blue frost spectrum pad from Stampin up', Only orange, close to cocoa, certainly celery, basic black. I used the computer for the date little Jason was born and mounted them on oval punches from Stampin up'. I also used the 1 1/4 circle punch to punch out the basket ball and the soccer ball. I used a circle template from my coluzzel to cut out the baseball. Lastly I used a chipboard star and sponged it using the blue frost spectrum pad.
